JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and effectively. Heavy equipment may include trucks, excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain, and secure all equipment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed below, including but not limited to:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operates multiple equipment/tools safely and efficiently.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
Ability to communicate effectively with the supervisor.
Capability to read and interpret plans.
Perform, organize, clean, and inventory work areas.
Works safely within the guidelines set forth by OSHA and the companies’ safety policy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Valid Driver’s License
1-3 years’ heavy equipment operating experience.
Basic skills to complete essential paperwork, e-mail communications
Ability to read and interpret blueprint/plans and project specifications.
