Specialized manufacturer seeking mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology graduate interested in CNC manufacturing, specifically in low volume prototyping and mission critical applications. This is a very hands on position with growth and specialization opportunities. If you have some experience with CNC, a strong motivation to learn, and are seeking a fast paced technical career we are happy to provide training and mentorship.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Program NC Machines - Proof and develop NC programs.
> Setup 3 and 4 axis CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
> Run prototype and low volume projects from prints/CAD, etc.
> Devise manufacturing plans and strategies using an economic and risk based approach (will train).
> Devise, design, and build fixtures and tooling.
> Assist in estimating, quoting, and design for manufacturing reviews.
> Assist in maintaining tooling systems, BOMs, CAM libraries, etc.
> Assist in Lean practices, and company wide process improvements.
> Assist in quality assurance activities; planning, execution, and documentation.
REQUIRMENTS:
> Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
> Familiarity with CAD; Solidworks, Siemens NX, or Autodesk.
> Basic understanding of drafting and drafting standards.
> Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed (occasional and based on project demands).
> Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
> Ability to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min.
> Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure and tolerance of sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
> A desire to work in the shop and build things.
> A passion for mechanical design and craftsmanship.
> Proficiency with basic hand tools.
> A strong professional work ethic.
> Creativity and critical thinking.
> Ability to pass an FBI background check.
Training both formal and on-the-job will be provided.
Must be willing to locate or commute to Butte, Montana.
Company Health Insurance available (we pay 75% at present).
2 weeks PTO + 8 Paid Holidays a year.
9/80 Work schedule providing every other Friday off.
60 day probationary period applies.
No relocation assistance provided.
$2,500 bonus after 6 months is provided.
