General Laborers
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A General Laborer is responsible for operating and maintaining various machines and tools, loading and unloading heavy materials frequently, and following directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed below, including but not limited to.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operates multiple equipment/tools efficiently.
Help equipment operators and other skilled labor when necessary
Preparation of Construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
Load or unload construction materials
Remove, fill, or compact earth manually or with equipment.
Follow instructions from supervisors
Ability to communicate effectively with the supervisor.
Organize, clean, and inventory work areas.
Be punctual and reliable at the respective job site.
Be available for seasonal (winter) laboring activities.
Works safely within the guidelines set forth by OSHA and the companies’ safety policy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred NOT REQUIRED.
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
Ability to work in all weather
Workers must be punctual and reliable
Experience as a general laborer in the construction industry preferred, NOT REQUIRED
Basic skills to complete essential paperwork, e-mail communications
