Asphalt Hot Plant Operator
Full-Time - Competitive Pay Scale
Butte, MT
Jeffery Contracting LLC is seeking qualified individuals to join our Asphalt Hot Plant operations. We are a Union Highway Paving/Heavy Civil Contractor in Butte Montana looking for experienced Hot Plant Operators to join our team. Qualifications:
● Must be 18 years of age.
● Must have a valid Drivers License (Class A-CDL with double, triples, tanker and hazmat preferred.)
● Must have strong knowledge and 2+ years experience in asphalt plant operation.
● Must have mechanical knowledge of an asphalt plant.
● Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening.
● Must be able to lift 50+lbs.
● Knowledge of equipment safety and the ability to operate in a safe and effective
manner.
● Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person,
via phone, two-way radio and in writing.
● Must have keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the
safety of the plant area.
● Must be reliable and show up on time daily.
Responsibilities:
● Maintain the daily operation of the plant to meet daily needs with the production
of a high quality product.
● Responsible to fill job orders, scheduling, raw material inventory, and ordering,
plant maintenance daily.
● To understand and have knowledge of appropriate materials to produce high
quality product.
● Follow all company policies, procedures and safety protocols.
● Manage time effectively to ensure daily tasks are met.
● Keep detailed records of daily operation.
● Use tools such as sledge hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, cutting torch, welder,
pneumatic hammer/drill, pipe wrench, hand shovel in the operation
or maintenance of plant
● Manage time effectively to ensure daily tasks are met.
● Ensure that all assigned equipment is properly maintained, clean, in safe working
order and operated properly
● Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the
general public at all times.
● Demonstrate self-motivation, excellent communication, time management and
interpersonal skills.
● Complete and submit order forms, time entry and all other paperwork.
● Daily inventory of materials on site.
● Keep Project Managers informed on status of all assigned orders .
● Operate heavy equipment
● Keep a clean and safe work environment.
