Day-to-Day Work: Typical work week is 25-35 hours/ week beginning May 1st.
During the busy season (June-October) hours will be closer to 40 hours/week.
Pay is dependent on experience

Major Requirements & Responsibilities:
The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef, under the Executive Chef, in directing and supervising all aspects of day-to-day operations in the kitchen.
This individual will excel in his/her teaching and training ability and have the patience and knowledge to lead a culinary operation to achieve excellence in all aspects of the kitchen operation. This individual will be the liaison between the kitchen and the front-of-house manager from a day-to-day operational standpoint.
Assist the head chef to prepare and cook the food for all events held at Rockin' TJ Ranch
Follows close direction of head chef
Assisting with training of back-of-house personnel
Monitor and control food and BOH labor costs
Inventory and rotation
Oversee all aspects of the kitchen in the absence of the chef by leading and inspiring a culinary team in a manner that promotes excellence and professionalism
Ensure every guest receives outstanding products and service in a timely manner
Maintain excellence in food quality by upholding all recipes and product specifications.
Maintain high standards of safety and sanitation for a clean kitchen and require the same from the staff
Supervise all food preparation activities as required
Forecast food and labor costs and maintain each within budget parameters
Knowledge and Skills:
2-4 years of experience as a junior cook with an emphasis on catering
ServSafe and HAACP knowledge preferred
