Description:
Autopilot, Inc., an AS9100 certified precision manufacturing company, is seeking CNC machine operators to contribute to our growing company. Autopilot’s customers span many industries including the outdoor industry, aerospace / defense, photonics / imaging and many other commercial enterprises. The position provides long-term stability and opportunity for career growth. Starting pay between $18- $22 / hr., depending on experience, with opportunities for advancement. Autopilot is currently seeking operators for both 1st (6am - 2pm) and 2nd (12pm - 8pm) shift positions, M-F.
Duties:
Load and operate CNC mills and lathes
Perform at-machine part check and work with the quality lab on part inspection throughout the process
Maintain a clean work area with routine machine preventable maintenance
Unload raw stock and prep using horizontal band saw
Record and monitor part production and track time on a per job basis
Work with other machinists to identify problems and come up with solutions on scrap parts and other issues
Help with other support areas, when needed (i.e., part tumbling, assembly, etc.)
Skills:
Must have strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Must be self-motivated with a high level of creativity
Strong interpersonal skills required to achieve cooperation and reach agreement with internal and external customers and suppliers
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
2-year degree in machining, manufacturing or engineering preferred but not required
Previous experience in CNC operation preferred but not required
