Gallatin River Lodge Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant. Serving authentic Montana cuisine influenced by French and South American techniques/flavors.

We serve our lodging guests and the public an elevated experience born in the Rocky Mountain West.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs.

2. Learn and apply culinary techniques to various dishes.

3. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.

4. Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.

5. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

6. Follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately.

7. Support in plating and presentation of dishes.

8. Learn proper food handling and safety procedures.

9. Assist in the creation and testing of new menu items.

10. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills.

Minimum Culinary Skills:

1. Knife skills: proficient in various cutting techniques.

2. Cooking methods: knowledge of grilling, frying, baking, steaming, etc.

3. Sauce making: ability to prepare basic sauces like béchamel, hollandaise, and tomato sauce.

4. Food seasoning: understanding of how to season dishes appropriately.

5. Ingredient identification: familiarity with a wide range of ingredients and their uses.

6. Menu planning: basic understanding of how to create balanced menus.

7. Food presentation: ability to plate dishes attractively.

8. Kitchen organization: knowledge of proper kitchen layout and workflow.

9. Time management: ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.

10. Recipe comprehension: capability to understand and execute recipes accurately.
