Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Manager to oversee the parts department in our automotive service facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management and logistics, as well as experience in the automotive industry. This role is crucial for ensuring that our service team has the necessary parts to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain operational efficiency.
Duties
Manage and oversee the parts inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment of supplies.
Coordinate logistics for parts delivery, including ordering from OEM suppliers and managing dealership relationships.
Maintain an organized parts department, implementing effective systems for tracking inventory and pricing.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting technicians and customers with parts inquiries and orders.
Collaborate with the service department to forecast parts needs based on upcoming jobs and repair schedules.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the parts department.
Train and mentor staff on inventory management systems, customer service techniques, and product knowledge.
Experience
Previous experience in a Parts Manager role or similar position within the automotive industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management practices, particularly within a dealership or OEM environment.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
Proficient in using inventory management software and systems to track parts availability and pricing.
