Job Overview
We are a growing firm looking for a Tax Director to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who is comfortable preparing and reviewing small business, S-Corp, non-profit and individual returns. The Tax Director will work directly with the clients and will also help manage our team of preparers. The work is interesting and challenging; helping clients run their business, advising them, and solving their financial challenges.
Responsibilities
Manage all stages of tax preparation including data collection, work in progress and client communication.
Prepare and/or review easy-moderately complex tax returns.
Research tax guidance to solve complex tax issues.
Act as a key point of contact with clients and provide timely responses to tax questions.
Provide tax consulting services to clients throughout the year.
Qualifications
Enrolled Agent or CPA (Required)
Tax preparation and advisory: 6 to 8 years (Required)
Strong knowledge of individual and small business tax (6+ years of experience). Must be a CPA or EA. Must have a PTIN.
Experience with QuickBooks and Intuit Lacerte software is a plus
Proficient in financial statement preparation and account analysis

Compensation:
Flexible, open to revenue sharing or hourly compensation. Hourly rate depending on experience. This is a contractor role.
Expected hours: 4 – 30 per week
