Intern Central Construction Engineer (Transmission and Distribution Overhead Projects)QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Engineer major required
Must have successfully completed sophomore year or above by start date
Must be in good academic standing
Must provide GPA in Resume upon application
Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to lift materials up to 35 pounds
Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Learn about NorthWestern Energy transmission lines, distribution lines and system operations
Use PLS-CADD Software to design and analyze transmission lines to complete engineering analysis
Contribute to a variety of engineering tasks assigned to Transmission and Distribution Construction (e.g. job site analysis, landowner contact, job book creation, communication between engineer/project manager and crews, etc.)
Assist in Company Wide Wildfire mitigation process and implementation
Work on infrastructure mapping/GIS information to improve data
Participate in organizational work meetings
Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Temporary position, will work May - August full-time (40 hours per week) and September - December part-time (up to 20 hours per week while back at school).$20.00 per hour.Open until filled (preference given to early applicants).
