Montana Frontier Sandstone is looking for a Lead Mechanic that would like to expand their welding.
The mechanic completes tasks assigned by the Head of Operations.
Responsibilities
Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines. Submits repair tickets for all completed repairs.
Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes.
Interprets diagnostic test results accurately.
Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans. Submit WO request.
Collaborates with other diesel mechanics to maintain, adjust, and manage a weekly schedule.
Presents reports and plans to management for approval.
Advise management on repair options and cost.
Completes test drive to make sure the vehicles run correctly, efficiently. Thoroughly complete repairs with production in mind.
Use power, machine, and hand tools safely.
Follow all motor vehicle repair shop regulations and standards.
Collaborate with other diesel mechanics and have strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Strategize with other managers to meet needs of the company.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
An Associate degree in diesel technology or completion of a traineeship (preferred).
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certified diesel mechanics are preferred.
At least 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic is preferred.
Class A CDL (Commercial Drivers License)
Some welding preferred.
Bilingual preferred

Base pay $24 to $40 hourly DOE
Hours 7:00am to 3:30pm
