Our pioneering systems are supporting airborne, ground, and maritime missions around the world.As Quality Engineer Manager, you will play a significant role in continuing to advance the organization within our industry. You will have an innate sense to thrive within a fast paced and growing environment. This position will require heavy attention to detail with a passion for the mission and process. You will be comfortable leading continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. You will be a part of leading and guiding quality efforts to ensure results meet and/or exceed internal and external customer’s needs and expectations. This position will report directly to the Quality Director.More About the Role:
Provide support for receiving inspection program, including identification of critical dimensions and other relevant criteria
Assist in development and automation of quality assurance processes to enhance outgoing product quality. Example: torque specifications and environmental pass/fail criteria
Participate in product quality testing and generation of Certificates of Conformance and other Production quality documents prior to shipment
Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on complex problems, guiding teammates in all departments to prevent recurrence
Work with suppliers to complete Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) to ensure top quality and strengthen partnerships within the supply chain
Support creation and revision of production work instructions
Perform internal quality audits
Manage Calibration Program, including identification of all measurement equipment used to measure critical product dimensions in Engineering and Production
Oversee Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure equipment is available and fully operational when it is needed
Oversee Customer and Supplier Property Program, including use of CACI’s AssetSmart to ensure proper tracking and care is taken of property while in CACI’s possession
Lead Material Review Board, involving members of Receiving, Production, Engineering, and Finance, when warranted, to ensure appropriate disposition and action is taken to address nonconforming materials
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant discipline or experience
5+ years experience in a Manufacturing environment including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or other Quality Systems
Experience with the following preferred: Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations
Working on-site full time is expected.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Training and experience performing internal quality audits
Experience using ERP/MRP systems (Infor preferable)
Six Sigma Certification
Knowledge and experience with lean concepts and tools such as business process design, corrective action, continuous improvement, 5S, Kaizen, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Kanban, and Bottleneck Analysis
