Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The work schedule is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays required during high volume periods. In this role, you will be responsible for installing ladder racks, foot runners, partitions, shelving units, and pre-assembled cabinets into GM vans. This position requires good hand and power tool knowledge and the ability to read diagrams similar to those used for assembling furniture.Responsibilities
Install ladder racks, foot runners, partitions, and other components into vans.
Pre-assemble and install shelving units and cabinets.
Read and interpret diagrams and blueprints for assembly tasks.
Use hand and power tools proficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
Mechanical assembly experience.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and squatting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Interest in vehicles and mechanic type work.
Experience in assembling furniture by following instructions and reading diagrams.
