Job Description
Cerner's State Government team aligns with State and local agencies to provide clinical and population health solutions that drive critical outcomes for our state partners and the communities in which we live. We are seeking a talented individual to serve as Senior Data Analyst, Medicaid Markets to identify, develop, and deliver innovative insights to support a modernized Medicaid and broader HHS enterprise strategy to bend the cost curve for state governments. Cerner's portfolio of solutions is focused on the proactive engagement of vulnerable populations who are poorly managed, underserved, and at high risk of poor health status, poor health outcomes, and spiraling costs to state governments. You will be a critical in growing Cerner's State Government business with sharp business acumen and related analytical expertise in Medicaid, managed care, public health, strategy/consulting, product development, and government relations.The role encompasses a set of high visibility strategic and operational responsibilities that will include creating integrated go-to-market analytic strategies, aligning with Cerner's State Government Relations team to promote a government policy environment favorable to Cerner; leading collaboration with marketing, solution strategy and other stakeholders to generate client-facing collateral to drive sales and increase brand equity. A key member of the State Government & Medicaid team within Cerner's Strategic Growth Pillar, this role will have an opportunity to materially impact the fortunes of a strategic business unit within Cerner's global portfolio.We are seeking a critical thinker comfortable with ambiguity who also possesses an innate ability to execute with a bias for action. If this profile aligns to your skills, interest, and passion, we highly encourage you to apply!Qualifications Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Math, Statistics, Analytics, Actuarial Science, Economics or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
- At least 4 years of data analysis work experience including data management, transformation and visualization
- At least 2 years of developing of actionable and demonstrable analytical insights within the agency and / or payer market
- At least 2 years of working with claims, clinical, payer and beneficiary data
- At least 2 years translating insights from analyses and presenting to executive level stakeholders
- Comfort working with ambiguous direction and taking direction from the data
- Comfort with a fast-past, entrepreneurial, and agile development environment
- Willing to travel up to 40% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Must reside within 60 miles of a virtually approved city
