St Louis based company, is adding a mechanic and has an opportunity available for a full time experienced diesel or trailer mechanic. In this position you will be responsible for helping maintain a fleet with both tractors and trailers. We are looking for a person to who cares about the quality of work they perform. We would like at least three to five years of experience but may make an exception for the right person.
The pay range is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Inspect and service tractors and/or trailers at prescribed intervals.
Make all repairs to tractors and/or trailers as necessary for safe operation.
Complete and maintain records of service, maintenance, costs and inspections.
Follow company guidelines.
Comply with all established company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal law.
Familiar with DOT requirements.
Interact professionally with all personnel and visitors.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in diesel repair or trailer repair.
Welding experience a plus.
Valid driver’s license a must. Class A or B CDL a plus.
Must be able to safely operate a tractor/trailer unit within the terminal premises.
Must be able to meet the brake inspection requirements stipulated in section 396.25 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
Must be able to diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures with tractors or trailers.
Must have own tools.
ASE certifications a plus.
Basic computer skills.
High School Diploma.
