Responsibilities:
Will perform residential electrical construction
Install feeders and cables
Wire and conduit sizing calculations
Switchgear and device install & termination
Layout and preparation for installation
Calculate basic mathematical problems
Underground layout and rough-in work
Troubleshooting motors & controls
Document problems and prepare reports
Read and interpret maps, instruction manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written/verbal instructions
Practical application of electrical theory and the National Electrical Code
Work on fire alarm systems & other low voltage systems (access control, cameras, nurse call, telephone entry systems, etc.)
Work on energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in Company safety policies when needed
Read and interpret maps, instruction manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written/verbal instructions
Securing and retrieval of tools and materials from storage areas to complete their assigned tasks
Promote and maintain safety standards
Qualifications:
Be at least 18 years of age and able to provide work authorization documents
Must be local to Saint Louis area
Has at least 5+ years of previous electrical work experience
Must have basic hand tools/power drill OSHA
10 Certification (strongly preferred)
Understanding of electrical theory and the current National Electrical Code
Previous experience working on fire alarm systems & other low voltage systems (access control, cameras, nurse call, telephone entry systems, etc.)
Knowledge and experience in using power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches
Must be able to read and interpret maps, instruction manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written/verbal instructions
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead Lift up to 51 pounds Climb and work on ladders (all types)
Completing overhead work for full-day assignments
Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment
Work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, snow)
May be exposed to heights; must be comfortable with heights
