Surdex Corp., a leading aerial mapping products and services provider, is looking to grow our Aerial Acquisition team.

Our mapping projects begin with a team of Pilots and Aerial Acquisition Techs who acquire Ortho imagery and LiDAR data while flying over much of the United Statesyou will see much of the country from a new perspective! You will be operating and maintaining world leading photography/sensor equipment ($1M+), taking images of the earth (similar to Google or Apple Maps), and collecting data. Our clients include federal, state and local government entities, who need the data to protect our forests and manage our crops, infrastructure, and riverways. Benefits:

Compensation averages $45,000-$48,000 per year ($20/hour plus 1.5 times the base rate for overtime hours worked).

15 days on, 6 days off work schedule.

During the 15 days on, there is occasional free time, allowing for local sight-seeing.

Opportunities for Career Growth: Surdex is growing, and the Aerial Technicians have growth opportunities within the Aerial Acquisition Team and to other positions within the company. Several of our company leaders began their careers in this role!

Education, Experience and Abilities:

Required:

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and Passport (or ability to obtain a passport within three months of hire).

Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.

Experience using computer and managing files, including data uploads.

Cell phone with texting capabilities.

Personal Credit Card with $3,000 available credit to procure commercial flights, hotel, meals, and rental cars. Weekly reimbursement is made upon submission of expense report.

Ability to pass DOT drug tests.

Preferred:

2- or 4-year college degree in Aviation, Geography/GIS, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Photography/Media or a technical field.

1+ years' aviation-related, airport line person, GIS, photography/media, or military/commercial drone operation experience.

Requirements for this Role:

Must be able to work a schedule of 15 days on duty with 6 days off.

Must pass criminal background check and have a clean driving record.

Must have US Passport or ability to obtain one.

Employer sponsorship to work in the U.S. is not available for this position.

Essential Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to sit in a plane for up to six (6) hours at a time.

Ability to input data using a computer keyboard and manipulate small equipment parts.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds of equipment and supplies.

Ability to adapt to changing temperatures, noise, light, and altitude.

Ability to pass DOT pre-employment, random and post-accident drug test.

Ability to reach, climb, bend and stretch.

This position works a rotating schedule of 15 days on in a row (generally out of town) followed by 6 days off. You do NOT need to live in/relocate to Missouri to be a candidate for this position as this position flies commercial air to/from our job sites.
