SENIOR NETWORK PROTOCOL DEVELOPER

Build Routing and Switching solutions for critical network infrastructure, including Internet Service Provider (ISP), Data Center (DC) and Local Area Network (LAN); Research, Design and Develop advanced capabilities in Routing Protocols including, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP and Data Center technologies like Shortest Path Bridging (SPB) and IP-VPNs; Develop, test and troubleshoot applications using different software and hardware tools including IXIA, Bird, Smart bits, GDB, Valgrind, Electric Fence, Perforce, GIT and Jira; Program network components RESTful API calls, CLI/SSH commands, and NETCONF and RESTCONF protocols; Prove solution concepts, capabilities and features against engineering requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in controlled testing environments; Developing and maintaining of network routing and datacenter protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, BFD, VRRP, RIP, IGMP, PIM, MLD, DHCP, and tunneling technologies like vxLan and SPB; Build scalable, low latency architectures for network applications with containers, pub-sub and inter-process communication architectures; Design and implement applications based on multithreading architecture to provide a solution which can scale to networks with thousands of network devices; Implement applications using C, and C programming languages on Linux and VxWorks operating systems based on microservices and container architecture to provide modularity, enhanced performance and scalability; Design and implement highly available and secure routing and bridging architecture to be interoperable with different vendors including Cisco Systems, Juniper, Arista, Avaya and Nokia; Design network topologies with a combination of equipment supplied by multiple vendors to test and deploy the Network Routers in an enterprise ready environment; Encode data between the network management system and the network device with JSON or XML to reduce the data propagation latency; Troubleshoot complex network problems involving Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) Layers 2/3, OSI Layers 4/7, and LAN/WAN technologies and protocols, particularly OSPF, ISIS, BGP, IS-IS, and SPB; and Train and support testing and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to understand complex network scenarios. Reproduce the same in the smaller topologies to unblock them, analyze and troubleshoot better and provide appropriate solution to the problem.

Position requires Bachelor's or equivalent-level degree in Electronic Engineering or closely related field, plus five years of progressive experience performing the duties of this position.
