Job Description: Fabrication of raw metals into decorative wrought iron fencing, gates, step railings, spiral stairs, structural balconies, forging, etc.
Ideal if applicant would have at least 2 years experience in the "metal fabrication" industry. Relevant fabrication experience desired, but if no experience in fabrication, no problem, we will train you. We are especially interested in candidates with excellent math skills and are mechanically inclined. Job requires the ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly, a high school diploma or GED. Experience reading CAD drawings is a plus. Knowledge of MIG welding is required. Above average math skills is necessary (adding fractions, determining pitch/angles, etc.)
Fluent English is necessary to convey the daily details of the job. Every job is custom and requires different job instructions and varied skills as a fabricator. On the job training is on-going and new fabricators are trained in how we make railings and gates with an emphasis on quality and accuracy. Strong math skills are a must. Some math is specific to the job and can be taught, but if the candidate does not have an aptitude for math (easily using a tape measure, adding simple fractions, using basic algebra and geometry) then he/she will struggle, as these are skills that are used daily in the job of a fabricator. Sometimes we may ask you go to the jobsite and help install if additional hands are necessary on a specific job or if the regular install helper is out for the day.
Jeans and other clothing appropriate to the weather is the responsibility of the employee. After a 3-month trial period, work pants and work t-shirts are provided by the company. Employee to provide their own welding helmet. We provide other PPE job related items.

Hours/Shifts: M-F, 6:00-3:30, includes 1 hour over time per day is common.
Weekends: We rarely work on Saturday and never on Sundays.
Pay and Benefits: $23 - $30/hr: or more commensurate with experience.
