Position Title: 2nd shift CNC Mill and Lathe Operator

Wage: $26.00 per hour + .50 shift differential

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2:15pm-12:45am (Mon-Thurs)

CNC Mill & Lathe Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills.

- Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations.

- Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder.

- Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures.

- Moves controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut.

- Set up fixture, starts machine.

- Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

- Observes operation of machine and verifies conformity of machined work piece to specifications.

- Keeps work area clean and orderly.

- Follows all Company rules and safety policies.

- Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.

- Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.

- Adjust, trim and fitting parts to close tolerances.

- Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct.

- May perform testing of assembled product.

- Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, seal finishing product.

- Meet efficiency rates.

- Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.

- Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE.

- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader.

- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S.

- Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.

- Perform related duties as assigned by supervision.

CNC Mill & Lathe Operator Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- 1+ yrs of previous CNC experience preferred.

- The ideal candidate will have experience in set-up, operating Haas, and experienced in adjusting offsets.

- Ability to add and subtract/basic math.

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Good hand-eye coordination.

- Ability to lift up to 25lb.

- Ability to stand 90% of shift.
