A fast-paced and busy law firm located in St. Charles, MO, is seeking a full-time attorney with two (2) or more years of experience in Family Law and Wills/Estates. The ideal candidate must have strong writing, negotiation, and communication skills, be able to work directly with clients, possess a strong work ethic, and be comfortable in a courtroom. The candidate should also be able to organize multiple cases, set priorities, focus on specific tasks, listen attentively, think clearly, and cooperatively follow instructions.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Completing client intakes
Obtaining case files from prior counsel
Attending night courts as needed
Collaborating with court clerks, police departments, prosecutors, the Division of Family Services, GALs, and other relevant parties
Organizing case file materials
Conducting legal research
Preparing and delivering pre-trial motions and objections, pre-trial briefs, witness examinations, closing arguments, and post-trial briefs
Preparing exhibits for trial
Preparing witnesses to testify
