Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow and uphold food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in food service or as a line cook in a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficiency in meal preparation techniques, including knife skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu planning is highly desirable.
Previous experience as a dietary aide or similar role is a plus.
