Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Back of House Manager to lead our fast-paced pretzel takeout restaurant. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, preparing and baking our fresh, handcrafted pretzels, ensuring food quality and efficiency, managing staff, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who strives in a fast-moving environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality products.
Duties
Lead and supervise BOH team members, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Conduct interviews, train, coach, and develop staff to uphold food quality, speed, and consistency.
Ensure food preparation and baking processes follow company recipes, safety regulations, and health standards.
Oversee cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with sanitation guidelines.
Maintain kitchen equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Coordinate with front-of-house and management to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations for BOH staff.
Lead by example by working hands on: prepare and roll dough for fresh pretzels.
Qualifications
Previous management or leadership experience in a kitchen or food service environment required.
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced setting while maintaining efficiency and quality.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must be available Tuesday-Saturday (NO late nights or Sundays!)
