Position Specifications

This is a management position responsible for supervising the staff of the Meter and Tap section as well as any contractor work. Responsibilities include managing all flat rate and metered delinquent account turn offs and turn ons, flat rate inspections, the repair and shut off of all leaking private service lines, the issuance of tap and wrecking permits, and the creation of service order requests. Additional duties include managing all aspects of the service line repair program which includes receiving and evaluating bids, meeting with plumbers, reviewing and approving invoices, and inspecting field work. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing all meter readings for approximately 14,000 meters every quarter and creating related computer spreadsheets and word processing documents.For an additional description of this position, please refer to the classification specification for Water Services Manager Minimum Qualifications Two years of full-time experience in a supervisory role in water service industry; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present license at the time of the Oral Interview.
