Position Specifications
Incumbents in this position are responsible for supervising crews installing, maintaining and repairing water mains, hydrants, valves and other components of the City of St. Louis water distribution system.For an additional description of this position, please refer to the classification specification for Water Distribution Supervisor Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience working for a water utility in the installation and maintenance of water mains and appurtenances, to include 2 years of experience as a Water Maintenance Foreman for the City of St Louis. OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain a Missouri Public Drinking Water Distribution System Operator Certification by completion of the working test period.License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing the application and be able to present license upon request. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application. Positions require shift, weekend and holiday assignments, mandatory overtime and 24-hour emergency call.
