We are also a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program!LFCS is seeking compassionate professionals to provide effective counseling/therapy services to individuals that will primarily serve children, and youth in a school-based setting. This is a contract position for a minimum of 15 hours per week.DutiesProvide effective counseling/therapy to clients including case coordination and crisis intervention as needed. Maintain accurate and complete client records. Continue professional growth. Participate in peer consultation. Collaborate with community networks as needed for client services and program development. Maintain the highest levels of standards of ethics and confidentiality. Serve on department and agency committees or work groups as needed.Minimum Education and Experience:Master's degree in a mental health related field.Provisional Therapist- Must either:1) Have an MSW and pass the LMSW exam and obtain board approval for LMSW license within 90 days of employment OR2) Be provisionally licensed and obtaining supervision toward licensure as a professional counselor, clinical social worker or marriage and Family therapist in the State of Missouri.Licensed Therapist -Must be professionally licensed in the state of Missouri as a professional counselor, clinical social worker or marriage and family therapist. (LPC, LCSW or LMFT)2 years of social services experience.Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of counseling theories and practices, therapeutic models and interventions for use with children and youth. Knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment planning. Knowledge of ethical standards and legal regulations. Knowledge of community resources. Effective professional therapeutic skills. Crisis intervention skills. Ability to function as an effective team member. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain accurate and complete client records.
