A member of the Talent Team, the Talent Recruitment Manager will play a critical role in building a team of superstars so that KIPP St. Louis can achieve ambitious goals for its scholars. Reporting directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition and working out of KIPP St. Louis’ regional office, the main aspects of the Talent Recruitment Manager’s role are to assertively source and cultivate candidate leads, to manage internal recruitment programs, and to lead full cycle recruiting (cultivation through hire) for a portfolio of three schools. The TRM will work out of the regional office close to downtown St. Louis but will frequently travel to various school sites throughout the city for meetings and interviews.
Type: Salary, ExemptResponsibilities:Talent AcquisitionLead the full cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, cultivating and screening for a portfolio of roles and/or schools ensuring that 100% of positions are filled by the deadline.
Tightly manage the candidate experience so that all applicants have a favorable impression of KIPP St. Louis.
Manage the teacher hiring for a portfolio of five (and growing) schools and build strong relationships with each school leader to facilitate strong alignment of the recruitment process with program needs.
Develop and execute a broad sourcing strategy for the talent team and develop innovative tactics for researching and cultivating identified pools of talent to convert passive prospects into active prospects.
Execute a broad cultivation and recruitment strategy to drive high quality applications to KIPP St. Louis roles.
Network energetically to cultivate important relationships and recruitment channels.
Manage the cultivation process through a prospect database.
Produce clear, strong, effective communications and marketing materials to attract prospects.
Attend key national and local recruitment events such as career fairs, conferences, panel discussions, and networking events.
Manage the various internal recruitment programs at KIPP St. Louis and Recommend a Friend referral campaign.
Design and implement new recruitment programs and initiatives to drive internal engagement in the talent recruitment process.
Build strong relationships with KIPP St. Louis teachers to facilitate the internal referral process and ensure the talent team has a presence on school campuses.
Lead the development and execution of events to host connector organizations and prospective candidates with KIPP St. Louis including school visits, open houses, professional development opportunities, and more.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of recruitment or human capital experience, preferably in a non-profit or education environment
Exceptional organization and communication skills
Ability to take and quickly implement feedback
Proven experience building and managing stakeholder relationships to accomplish goals and objectives
Flexibility with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit
Willingness to attend weekend (2 per semester) and evening (1-2 per month) events
Access to personal transportation to travel to and from school sites within St. Louis city for meetings and interviews
Access to personal phone to conduct business calls
Operate a computer and office equipment on a daily basis
Do occasional moderate lifting, pushing and pulling
Frequently move about inside the office/school to access materials and equipment
Maintain emotional control under stress
Interpret policy, procedures and data
Communicate effectively (verbal and written)
