The Structural Engineer III works closely with more experienced engineers and assists in the development of deliverables. This individual is expected to execute work on one or more intermediate-level tasks simultaneously as delegated by the Lead or Senior Engineer. This individual may also delegate some basic and fundamental tasks to Entry-Level and Design staff. Core ActivitiesInterfaces with clients and external partners. Plans and directs work and manages a project budget from a discipline design perspective on small projects of limited complexity.Supports proposal development under the supervision of a Lead or Senior Engineer.Conducts and leads field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reporting.Identifies basic non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys. Develops basic internal discipline design and engineering training presentations.Develops construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications on intermediate projects of limited complexity and with little oversight. Leads squad checks and discipline checks for small projects of intermediate complexity and drives overall project quality.Provides mentorship to discipline Engineer I and/or Designer I and II.Leads intermediate project system design programming and master planning with support from Lead or Senior Engineer. This is a hybrid position.
