SUMMARY OF POSITION: Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team as a summer intern within the Pharmaceutical R&D Department. With help from a mentor, the successful candidate will support/ lead the proposed research activities including reviewing relevant research articles, development of experimental plans, execution of the proposed studies, analysis of data, and summarizing and presenting the results to the group.As an MNK intern, you will have the opportunity to learn from a team dedicated to your growth and success. Responsibilities · Support formulation team in literature search and review scientific articles. · Support formulation development process by executing wet laboratory experiments under the guidance of a mentor or senior laboratory member. · Acquire skills in collecting and recording data, both manual and computer- generated, in accordance with protocols, and SOPs. · Analyze and interpret data generated from testing and characterization to create summary reports. · Learn and adhere to safety protocols for handling materials. · Maintain a clean and safe work environment. · Perform other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree (Master or PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Biology, Biological Engineering or related discipline.SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES
