In this role you will partner with SVP, Human Resources for Evernorth Health Services & Enterprise Strategy and Office of the Chief Health Officer, HR Officers and the HRBP team across aligned businesses, the COEs, and the business in action-based talent planning and proactive identification of talent needs. You will create and enable the execution of a business unit talent strategy and roadmap aligned to business strategy. You will work with the business to develop a framework and infrastructure to 1) identify and prioritize critical roles and capability needs and 2) create hiring, development and deployment strategies that meet those needs. You will be responsible for the overall management of the aligned businesses’ succession planning and talent review processes to identify, assess and deploy a diverse leadership pipeline.RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand the strategy of aligned businesses and conduct a needs analysis on the skills/capabilities, leadership and culture needed to support the strategy.

In partnership with the HRO, HRBPs and business leaders, develop and enable the execution of a talent strategy for aligned businesses that addresses required skills/ capabilities, succession, leadership and diversity goals.

Lead annual refresh of talent priorities and associated measurement for aligned businesses.

Partner with HROs to lead talent review and planning for client base: set ELT/SLT talent review agendas, support facilitation of meetings, and drive actions from ELT talent review meetings.

Support the HROs, HRBPs and senior leaders to build and execute succession planning strategies to ensure the identification and development of a diverse and qualified leadership pipeline, enabling proactive and tailored talent readiness and pipeline planning and a more structured and consistent approach to development. Apply enterprise tools and practices to accelerate/advance succession management practices and its application in Evernorth.

Identify the most critical skills and capabilities required for organizational success and co-create hiring and development strategies to close gaps; partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure clarity and focus on the short, mid, and long-term hiring needs of the organization.

Partner with Talent Development on initiatives aligned to enterprise talent strategy to ensure the needs of the client are being considered and met.

Partner with the DE&I team to advise and execute the DE&I strategy for aligned businesses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters preferred.

10+ years of overall HR experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and responsibility. This includes HRBP and talent planning; leadership development experience strongly preferred.

Experience in developing a strong and deep understanding of the businesses' priorities and challenges as well as the broader business strategy and key financial levers impacting enterprise earnings results.

Significant and demonstrated ability to strategically align progressive talent strategies to business goals and objectives.

Results orientation: proven ability to drive end-to-end processes and ability to strike balance between strategic and execution focus.

Strong collaboration skills; demonstrated ability to work in a highly complex and matrixed business and HR model and influence across highly matrixed organization.

Proven experience driving change.

Able to thrive and navigate within a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment.

Large capacity for managing multiple, complex initiatives; exceptional work ethic.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Analytical Capabilities: Ability to draw accurate conclusions from data and determine appropriate interventions to address talent and business challenges.

Up to 20% travel – subject to change based on business needs.
