It tends to be the case in business that we can only improve what we measure! The purpose of demand metrics is to measure how effectively we are forecasting, to determine whether our forecasting process is biased and to enable the business to take root cause corrective actions to improve our forecasting results. The goal of the demand management process is to maximize customer satisfaction by enabling the supply chain to produce the products our customers wish to purchase in the timeframe requested, while reducing the costs to do so. In this process, the Demand Planner plays a most crucial role.Job Requirements

Accountable for understanding all sources of demand.

Develops an accurate demand forecast at the appropriate levels, horizons, and intervals.

Supports the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, working closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Product Line Managers.

Be an advocate of demand principle to the Business Unit and Sales organizations.

Accountable for the Demand process and continually improving output, accuracy and bias using MyBIS reporting.

Reviews Statistical run and sets statistical profiles (Single Exponential Smoothening or Naïve Forecast), including the setting of Seasonality Indexes.

Applies the differentiation tools in MyBIS to determine which Characteristic Value Combinations (CVCs) to run on statistics (predictably) and Sales Manager Input.

Maintains the cleaned sales history by removing Outliners and is responsible for the maintenance CVCs in SAPAPO.

Validates and maintains Dollarization Indexes using the MyBIS Market intelligence price (MIP) tool.

Supports the Demand Management to prepare (GAP) analysis, Price Volume Currency analysis; and captures action items.

Skills & attributes:

Language skills: Fluent in English

Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Planning, Customer Service, Marketing, or other related discipline or has related professional experience.

3-5 years’ experience in customer facing and/or supply planning roles.

Analytical and reporting skills with the ability to understand statistical forecasting models and algorithms, etc.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multi-functional- and cultural team environment.

Experience working with SAP APO or SAP IBP and Business Warehouse is a plus.
