Title: Technician Quality-Customer ServiceLocation: Saint Louis, MODuration: 7 Months Job Description: Job description: Position Summary:As a Technician Quality, you'll be responsible for receiving samples and entering them into the L.I.M. system (Laboratory Management Information System) and Customer Service functions.- Understand and adhere to all safety requirements
- Receive samples from the receiving dock and lobbies
- Acquire knowledge of laboratory tests and choose appropriate test for laboratory samples
- Enter samples into the Laboratory Information database
- Handle customer service inquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Send daily reports to customers via email, fax, or mail
- Prepare samples and shipments for laboratory as needed
- Assist with other laboratory functions as needed
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited University (a combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration)
- Customer service experience in the Pet Food industry preferred
- Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- General knowledge of laboratory practices and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong oral, written, and organization skills
- Must have full dexterity of wrists, hands, and fingers to carry out required tasks
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Background in chemistry or microbiology testing in food science preferred
