This position is best suited for an individual who is confident working without in-person team support and displays the knowledge to troubleshoot and solve customer requests.HOW A SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN III WILL MAKE AN IMPACTProvides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardwareSet up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (switches, printers etc.)Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionalityInstall and configure appropriate software (Win10-11) and functions according to specificationsEnsure security and privacy of networks and computer systemsProvide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipmentOrganize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their workPerform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, etc.)Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance scheduleIdentify computer or network equipment shortages and place ordersWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:● Education: Associates Degree required● Required Experience: 3+ years of technical / vocational IT experience● Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds; work on ladders and pull wiring/cables● Desire to delight and deescalate customer issues and requests● US Citizenship required and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI POLY clearance● It would be nice to have an ITIL cert or other IT-related certifications● Location: Onsite in Springfield, VA office 5 days/weekGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:● 401K with company match● Comprehensive health and wellness packages● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.82 - $36.80. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
