Sr. Specialist, Software Engineer / Automated Test Engineer Job Code: 9654 Job Location: Springfield, VA on-site with Customer L3Harris Technologies is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Mid-level Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team in supporting a Government customer. The role needed is for a Automated Test Engineer. This is an AI/ML program providing cutting edge geospatial, AI capabilities at speed and scale to the warfighter. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as engage with a team to achieve overall project objectives. Essential Functions:
Coordinate with team leadership to identify required test coverage for the team’s existing and future software releases.
Define and implement unit, regression, and acceptance level test cases.
Document test cases via test plan.
Troubleshoot test cases and optimize test procedures to ensure quick feedback to the development team.
Work with DevSecOps team to integrate test cases (unit, regression, and acceptance) within an automated checkout environment.
Good problem-solving skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and think out of the box.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technologies with 6 years of experience; or 4+ years relevant experience with a Graduate Degree. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in a STEM function.
Work experience as a test engineer.
Experience with testing tools (pytest, google robot…) and test support tools (Jenkins, gitlab…).
Preferred Additional Skills:
Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Experience with supporting the integration of test cases into various CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab.
Familiarity with test results archiving and visualization tools.
Experience with whitebox, graybox, and blackbox testing concepts .
