Find your future with us.Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior Carpenter to join our team in Springfield, VA .Position Responsibilities:
Utilize general knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures
Construct commercial office space by providing overall O&M capabilities, with limited supervision
Basic framing/ drywall installation and finishing
Suspended ceiling installation/repairs
Carpet removal and installation including cove base
Repair and maintain plant and office facilities equipment and demonstrates advanced skill level in these areas
Interpret basic schematics and diagrams
Provide guidance to less experienced employees
Review customer requirements and may evaluate product capabilities, under general guidance
Use a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment
Frequent reaching above shoulder level, climbing, kneeling, bending, and continuous standing
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain an adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph post-start
5+ years of construction experience
Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35lbs
Customer support or service experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Top Secret /SCI with Counterintelligence or Full Scope polygraph
Experience working with a government customer
