2024 Guardian Life Intern, Code for Good ProgramOur Code for Good Program is a paid 24-week learning experience where you will be immersed in an 18-week coding bootcamp with our education partner, Per Scholas, and then participate in an immersive 6 weeks in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will:

Complete an 18- week Full Stack Java Developer bootcamp. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, you will acquire knowledge and skills on a wide range of Java Development topics, not limited to the following:

Relational databases and SQL

Version control using Git and GitHub

Core Java programming with Java SE, Java SE libraries, Java collections framework, Java 8 features, Java input/output, JDBC, ORM, Hibernate, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, etc.

Front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap

Java EE and back-end frameworks

Spring Boot Framework

Web Services, and Microservices

CI/CD and Code Quality

Course Capstone

Each learner will build a full-stack application from start to finish. A successful capstone will involve the learner's deployment of their full-stack application, demonstrating their understanding of continuous integration and development, and code quality maintenance.

Complete a 6-week collaboration project.
