This is a real post. Please take a minute to fully read. I will try and be as detailed as possible.
I'm wanting to put forth the effort to find the right person and I hope you are willing to do the same….
Looking for someone to help with general labor and to help me out with many different projects I have going on at the farm/house remodel.
The task will be different each dayI just need someone that shows up with a good attitude and can follow directions and can communicate well.
We have a couple properties and trying to move everything to one farm.
The new property is a gorgeous 140 acres with 1-mile of river frontage, and it's going to need a full time person to stay working on it constantly and improving it.
So work will consist of many different task.
If you want the same routine every day, this is not the job for you.
Examples of the task will be… Moving equipment, loading trailers and stuff to the new farm, organizing, fencing, setting up the new shop, working cattle/goats, Remodeling a house and painting, pressure washing, fixing equipment when it breaks (if you can), mowing grass, cutting trees with chainsaw, loading and unloading trailers. Cleaning cars, doing oil changes, driving trucks and trailers maybe even dozer and Trackhoes etc.
The immediate jobs would be organizing, and cleaning and remodeling a house. (Painting, flooring, drywall, bathroom installs etc)
This is the perfect job for a Jack of All, master of none, type of person.
My “to-do” list is long and never-ending and I have constant long-term work for someone that will show up every day. I'm looking for someone that's around for the next 10 years instead of 10 days.
I want to be a good boss and good friend and am looking for a good employee and friend. I will demand the best and ask a lot from you but I like to have fun and like to include folks that are helping me accomplish things to have fun too.
The person needs to be able to be productive and work by themselves. I won't be able to work with you constantly. I will as needed, but normally I will go over with you what I want you to do, give you a to-do list, then let you do it without me standing over your shoulder. I'll check back in and see what progress has been made.
As I'm sure you realize by now, This is a very noncompany/corporate work environment.
Some perks of the job can be… A Cell phone - Company vehicle and possible housing could be in it for the right person that proves themselves trustworthy and dependable. (I have a 1 room cabin on the property that isn’t in the best shape but I would be open to someone making it into a house for themselves) If you love fishing and kayaking and hunting, or the homestead type life there should some cool perks there too.
You will not make the cut if you smoke… Sorry, I've tried over looked this in the past but folks that smoke just seem to be better. I’m sorry.
Pay can be cash or w2 if you want… We can discuss what works best for you
By the way…. The purpose of me writing this post this long and this way, is to keep the wrong people from applying and wasting time. I'm not looking for a bunch of applicants like most job listings, I'm here looking for the one or two right people that will fit in long-term with me.
