duties within the organization, in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company

policies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees all general ledger activity by ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance

with GAAP.

Assists in the monthly close process and reporting by providing detailed analysis of transactions.

Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts by analyzing data, variances, and trends to

support data driven, strategic decisions.

Assists with audit preparation and interacts with external auditors by gathering data and responding to inquiries in a

timely manner.

Ensures Data Integrity for accounting system applications by updating and maintaining data through queries, review

of data, identification of variances, and making necessary adjustments.: Facilitates automation efforts by evaluating

processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, local and company regulations and policies by studying legislation and

company policies and applying those policies and regulations to financial transactions.

Provide support and analysis for development and grant/funding initiatives.

Supports the organization and Accounting Team by assisting and performing other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree (BA or BS) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field plus three years of related experience

or equivalent combination of education and experience to equal seven years.

Advanced Excel skills including the ability to combine and manipulate large sets of data.

Must provide proof of valid drivers license and personal valid vehicle insurance.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Project management experience, time management and organizational skills are preferred.

Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platform(s) is preferred.

Contract and Grant knowledge preferred.
