Public Senior Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant. This role operates in the construction industry and is primarily situated in an office environment.Responsibilities: Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications Maintenance of precise customer credit records Resolving any customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner Monitor and manage customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary Conduct detailed financial reconciliations for balance sheet accounts Provide ad hoc accounting support as required Utilize Accounting Software Systems to manage and track various accounting functions Ensure the smooth running of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Apply construction accounting principles and practices effectively Manage and maintain the WIP - Work In Progress Oversee and execute the financial close process on a monthly basis Perform ledger reconciliations as part of the regular duties Use Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Public Accountant or in a similar role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge of Accrual Accounting Familiarity with Construction Accounting Ability to calculate percentage (%) of completion Experience in WIP - Work In Progress Proven skills in Financial Close Process and Monthly Financial Close Expertise in Ledger Reconciliations and other Reconciliations Familiarity with Windows Vista Proficiency in Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
