EROSION CONTROL INSPECTOR[ST. CHARLES COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
[DEVELOPMENT REVIEW DIVISION[Starting Salary: $50,704.74 per year[This is a full-time position which includes a full range of benefits including Paid Time Off, Extended Medical Leave, Holidays, Employee Health, Dental, Life, Disability, Retirement, and Tuition Assistance programs.[JOB OVERVIEW: [The purpose of this position is to ensure that all work performed per approved erosion and sediment control plans and all maintenance required for post-construction storm water management facilities meets St. Charles County specifications, regulations, and codes. The work is performed under the supervision of the Chief Plan Review Engineer.

| - Inspects installation of erosion and sediment control measures |
| required for all site development that disturbs 5,000 sq. ft. or |
| greater. |

| - Performs inspections and prepares inspection reports and letters |
| for performance guaranty releases and acceptance of erosion and |
| sediment improvements for supervisor. |

| - Inspects existing stormwater detention basins and stormwater |
| management facilities for continued maintenance and operational |
| performance. |

| - Investigates complaints regarding erosion and sediment control |
| measures and detention basin and stormwater management facility |
| maintenance. Discusses situations with involved parties and |
| reports results to supervisor. |

| - Coordinates enforcement of corrections and penalties for |
| violations of the erosion and sediment control and detention |
| basin/storm water management facility maintenance ordinances. |

| - Manages or performs duties required for municipal separate storm |
| sewer systems permit and county stormwater plan for construction |
| and post construction site runoff under supervision of the |
| Division Director. |

| - Coordinates annual training information seminar for development |
| community. |

| - Provides training and educational opportunities for students, |
| public, developers, and engineers on stormwater control |
| techniques and materials. |

| - Plans work schedules to accomplish assigned responsibilities. |

| - Stays abreast of new erosion and sediment control regulations, |
| construction techniques, and makes recommendations for ordinance |
| amendments. |
