Job Requirements/Duties and Responsibilities
Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing
Designing and planning equipment layout
Conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production
Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes
Identify quality and production problems and opportunities and take action to ensure only product meeting the customers specifications is produced.
Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
Estimating production costs
Technical support required in product development/support for manufacturing processesContinually increases knowledge through an education program (formal or informal)One to five years in design and implementation of manufacturing processes and scaleup along with experience in project management preferredLicenses/Certification:Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred but not required.Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) is preferred but not required.Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is preferred but not required.Education: Bachelor Degree in EngineeringDecision Making/Scope of AuthorityIndependent thinking, Self-Starter, Solid Work Ethic, Understanding of Ethical Industry practicesSkills/CompetencesGood understanding of engineering and technology challengesStrong emotional intelligenceProficient in the Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoints, etc.)A desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentAdept multi-tasker with the ability to quickly prioritize and effectively delegate tasksExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated comfort and finesse communicating with senior leadership teams.A results-oriented approach and take-charge attitudePhysical requirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
