As a member of this team, you will contribute to diverse, high-impact projects, delivering engineering solutions that make a tangible difference in communities and industries.Join our Facility Engineering and Design team in our Kansas City, MO office as an Assistant Fire Protection Engineer. In this role you will embark on a challenging and rewarding journey of professional growth and technical development in fire safety and protection. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world projects, offering hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers on projects spanning Federal, Data Center, Healthcare, and educational sectors, contributing to the design and implementation of fire protection systems that ensure safety and compliance.Key Responsibilities:

Support System Design: Assist in the design of fire protection systems under the guidance of senior engineers, learning the practical aspects of engineering solutions.

Project Collaboration: Contribute to project teams, gaining insights into project management and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Regulatory Compliance: Help ensure projects comply with all relevant fire safety regulations and standards, developing a solid foundation in regulatory requirements.

Technical Learning: Engage in ongoing learning and professional development opportunities to deepen your expertise in fire protection engineering.

Documentation and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of technical documents, reports, and analyses, honing your technical writing and analytical skills.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to contribute and work well on a team.

Bachelor’s degree in ABET accredited engineering or engineering technology degree recognized by NCEES.

Strong interest in fire protection and life safety engineering.

Must possess or be able to obtain Engineer Intern certificate (EI) via the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.

Interested in pursuing NCEES Fire Protection Engineering Licensure.

Experience with REVIT, a plus.
