As a member of the grounds crew, you will be working with experienced professionals maintaining our beautiful 136-acre campus. This will include mowing, pruning, irrigation and dirt work. In the winter months the grounds crew helps with campus safety by clearing the snow and ice during inclement weather. This position is located in Monett, MO. The shift hours will be 5:30am- 2:00pm with a 30-minute lunch. What you’ll be responsible for:
Performs general maintenance, grounds maintenance, and arranging furniture and partitions.
Assist employees with internal relocations by moving and arranging furniture, partitions, and other equipment according to specific directions.
Cleans work areas, and performs heavy grounds maintenance, including but not limited to: mowing, weed eating, fertilizing, leaf collection, planting and pruning, trash collection, and light irrigation.
May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
Experience with commercial lawn maintenance equipment including but not limited to, mower, utility vehicle, tractor, forklift, and skid steer.
What would be nice for you to have:
Relevant trade school certification or other related education.
Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
Previous experience handling heavy equipment.
Able to learn to use professional concept, work on problems of limited scope, follow defined procedures and practices with little deviation.
Basic knowledge of general maintenance in areas including light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, plumbing, and arranging furniture and partitions.
Able to operate equipment, including but not limited to, mower, utility vehicle, tractor, forklift, and skid steer.
