DescriptionAssociate Laboratory Assistant, St Patrick Hospital-Broadway Bldg-Missoula MTThe Lab Aide I is responsible for completing and maintaining competency in phlebotomy, specimen processing, and basic client service tasks. As a phlebotomist, the expectation is to obtain blood samples from patients in a timely manner while following proper collection policy. Completion of phlebotomy competency will be required after 3 months of starting in this position. As a specimen processor, the aide will ensure appropriate labeling has occurred and handle specimen according to policy. Completion of Specimen processing competency will be required after 3 months of starting in this position. The basic client service tasks entail: requisition entry, requisition checks, and filing. Completion of basic client service competency will be required after 1 year of starting in this position. Preferred Qualifications:

Uupon hire: Phlebotomy certificate

Less than one year experience as a phlebotomist and/or completion of a Phlebotomy program.
