DescriptionA.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) is seeking a non-exempt full or part-time nursing professional in its Kirksville Family Medicine department. We are willing to train the right individual but preference is given for experience with medical records usage, phlebotomy skills, and someone who is compassionate and has excellent communication skills. The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced, outpatient clinic environment with a patient first attitude. Salary based on experience and level of certification.Major Job Duties:
Greet and room patients
Take vitals, document patient complaints, assist physicians with procedures
Properly refill medications as directed by the physician(s)
Schedule appointments and procedures at local and outside facilities
Make specialty care referral appointments for patients
Give injections as ordered by the physician(s)
Draw labs ordered by the physician
Complete paperwork and navigate electronic medical record system
Call patients with results from testing/procedures
Help with scheduled and non-scheduled nurse visits
Help other co-workers and fill in where needed
