Easy Ice continues to grow and seeks bright, highly motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician to join their team in the Kansas City market. The Technician is responsible for the refurbishment and repair activities on ice machines. In this position, you will work closely with the Refurb Lead and the Technical Services team. This candidate must be an energetic and enthusiastic individual, who is able to establish both internal and external relationships.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The PM/install Technician position requires the highest level of professionalism, problem solving and communication skills for this critical, customer-facing role. The technician works independently, providing technical service to clean and install ice machines at various locations, while delivering the desired customer service experience. The PM Technician aspires to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction and maximizes customer retention.

The successful, results-oriented technician will be able to clean ice machines, aiming to increase equipment life and reliability, reduce service calls and emergency ice purchases, all while increasing customer happiness and loyalty. The PM Tech will demand the best of themselves and their colleagues to deliver outstanding results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Deliver and install ice equipment.

Document installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Clean and wrap equipment for installs.

Cross train with service technicians to assist with quick fixes.

Service and clean ice machines as required.

Check in and out with on duty manager being courteous at all times.

Pick up and deliver ice as needed for service calls.

Report any additional actions required to keep our customers happy (parts/clean/replace).

Pick up payments, shut off and/or pull equipment as required.

Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Help to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the shop.

Maintain cleanliness of vehicle ensuring all ice and trash is removed at the end of your shift.

Check vehicle fluids, wipers and tires to help maintain a long service-life.

Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Vocational/Technical Training preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

3-6 months’ proven field service experience

Demonstrated track record of delivering highest level of customer satisfaction.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass company background check and drug test.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use ladders; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel surfaces, arts

and tools; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Stands for extended periods of time (6+ hours per day)

While the noise level in the work environment is usually somewhat quiet, the worker may be subject to elevated

noise levels.

Drive a vehicle for up to 60 percent of the hours worked.

Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
