Job Description:
As a Multifamily Housing Job Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring that all estimates are accurate and competitive. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping us secure new projects and manage existing ones efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Analyze and interpret project data, construction documents, and other relevant information.
Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates.
Present estimates to management and assist in the preparation of bid proposals.
Monitor project costs and work closely with the project management team to ensure budget adherence.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methods to maintain competitive and accurate estimates.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a job estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on multifamily housing.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
