We’re looking to locate a go-to for 1099 Computer Tech to help us with computer repair and tech support for our Business and Residential customers in the area. You will be supporting them whenever they need service so this may require some Saturdays.
This opportunity is ideal for anyone who is an independent contractor or has their own PC repair business. We would like someone who can be available throughout the week, on average 20-25 hours weekly with weekend rotation (every other weekend).
Position Details: Your responsibility will be to provide on-site support for our residential and business clients to help address their widely varying IT and cybersecurity needs. Typical work performed will include problem diagnosis, virus removals, router installations, computer installations, server implementations, network troubleshooting, software, training, and business IT consulting.

Requirements:
At least 2 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing computer-related hardware/software daily. This includes working with Windows and Macintosh desktops, laptops, and servers.
Must have an advanced understanding of Windows and Macintosh computers, computer-related hardware, networking, widely used computer software, and IT security
Must have solid technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot servers, networks, and business environments.
Must manage a highly demanding schedule while communicating and interacting with clients and staff professionally and effectively.
Prior experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP), IT Company, or Computer Consulting company is a plus.
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable private transportation, and insurance.
Must have strong organizational skills to manage daily responsibilities effectively.
Must be a team player.
Supply your IT-related tools.
Must have the flexibility to travel up to a 60-mile radius of the Kansas City, MO Area.
Position Compensation:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position,
$50 per hour for time on-site at client sites and for remote appointments
Required tools: Web-enabled cellular phone, proper hand/power tools, and laptop. Travel pay will be provided.
