We are seeking an energetic sales/business development individual with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales objectives. This is a part-time position in the first instance (approx 20 hours) and the successful candidate will focus exclusively on retaining and expanding the client base. Ability to work independently is essential.
Under the general direction of the CEO, the ideal candidate will:
Be responsible for prospecting for new accounts, providing clients with product services/information, maintaining existing client relationships, developing sales presentations, and following through with each client and opportunity
Seek out and research prospective clients and/or projects through various methods including contacting prospective clients
Prospect new leads, qualifying sales calls, preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating and managing sales cycle to close sales
Make phone calls, visits, regularly attending conferences as well as ‘on target’ commerce clubs and trade groups, utilizing the Internet, and leveraging existing relationships
Introduce, develop, and maintain relationships with prospective clients
Prepare and deliver client presentations
Develop, write, and review client proposal documents
Keep informed of industry information of interest to customers
Track industry trends and reach written, sales goals
The Ideal candidate will have:
2 years of experience in Sales, Business Development or a related field preferred
Proven track record in attaining and exceeding sales
Strong customer presentation skills, sales aptitude, and financial acumen, including cost modeling for sales proposals
Strong computer skills
Competitive nature, reliable, goal-oriented, ambitious, and high-energy
Ability to communicate clearly with varying personality styles, manage time effectively, multi-task, and prioritize
Compensation
The successful candidate will receive a base pay commensurate with experience and will benefit from commissions after the probationary period.
