Our Material Handlers are vital members of our team at Pella KC and are responsible for all day-to-day tasks that keep the warehouse running efficiently. In this position, our team members will perform variety of duties in the warehouse including, but not limited to, receiving product, scanning, and tracking material through the building, using order pickers and forklifts to store and pull material in the warehouse, and loading outbound delivery. Material Handlers may also assist delivery drivers on routes. The delivery area consists of all territories in which Pella KC is authorized to sell Pella products.

I. Inventory organization and maintenance.
J. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment.
K. Ability to operate and understand a computer and handheld scanner.
L. Routine cleaning duties.
M. Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
N. Communicates with other Pella departments to ensure consistency in procedures and adhere to processes and overall interdepartmental coordination.
O. Assist delivery driver in all aspects of delivering Pella materials to residences, or job sites.
P. Assist delivery driver in navigating and communicating with customers using mobile devices (GPS units and phones).
Q. Helps delivery driver by acting as a spotter while backing up delivery truck, or parking delivery truck.
R. Move products around within the confines of the warehouse, at customers’ homes, and on job sites.
S. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and other safety and process policies and guidelines. .
T. Ability to operate and understand a computer and handheld scanner.
U. Operate a forklift, or order picker within all required safety and compliance standards up to heights of 20.’
V. Must be able to lift/or move 100 lbs. without assistance, and 101-300 lbs. with assistance.
W. Regularly required to stand, walk, and use their arms and hands.
X. Occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Y. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
